The LEM I tested is for Windows 8.1 and it's just a horrible experience, Windows 7 version seems to be less annoying but it will slow down some of your software I guess because it prevents hardware acceleration from being used. The reason I wrote this is to bring everyone's attention to this weird and annoying software that doesn't make any sense, Lenovo's website lists as recommended but apparently it cause some issues if you delete it, and many more if you keep it. Second issue is that my computer was barely able to run Minecraft on the discrete graphics card when LEM is installed, but it can run it easily with LEM uninstalled

However, Lenovo Energy Manager serves as a driver as well to a virtual ACPI, without LEM you won't be able to install the driver for the dedicated graphics card which in my case is AMD, and I have disabled anyways but whenever I enable it and try to install its driver it just shows a blue screen of death. Since I have done that, my computer become much more cooler and ran a lot faster, until this point things are going my way. I never knew why but recently I decided that maybe I should get rid of Lenovo Energy Manager since I thought it was useless. The fan would spinning really fast while it's just sitting idle with no high cpu usage. Since I bought it 6 years ago, my computer always ran slower and hot than what it should be. TL DR: Lenovo Energy Manager brought many issues to my laptop, and it also works as a driver so deleting it would come with its drawbacks.I have a core i7 Lenovo G510 which is an Ideapad (that's unfortunate because the only laptops are worth buying from Lenovo are Thinkpads). If you are buying Lenovo I advise you to consider a different brand or go for Thinkpad. If anyone has any more information about this, I would like if they let me know more about it and why all of this is happening Also for some reason LEM prevents Intel HD graphics from handling video decoding which doesn't make any sense.
